The wearing of a simple school uniform is encouraged as this gives the children a sense of identity. We trust parents will endeavour to send their children to school with the appropriate clothing. Items of jewellery particularly hooped earrings should not be worn to school Children with pierced ears may wear studs as long as they are removed during P.E. activities. Trainers are not suitable for daily wear, school shoes with low heels please. The school colours are navy and grey and the uniform is as follows:-

Please ensure that your child wears suitable shoes to school. Shoes with high platform soles and heels or open-toes are unsafe at school. If children wear wellingtons to school they must bring a pair of shoes to change into. Similarly children should not be expected to wear plimsolls or training shoes all day in the classroom.

A handkerchief is an essential item for every child.

P.E. & Sports
Plain white or navy blue t-shirt
White/navy blue or black shorts
Training shoes for outdoor use
Football Boots when appropriate
Long jogging trousers (navy/grey) for cold weather games may be provided
For P.E., Games and Dance all children will be expected to change into appropriate dress. For indoor activities children will go bare foot (Kent Policy).

Children will also need a swim-suit and towel for swimming lessons. A separate strong bag with a name on the outside should be provided so that PE. kit may be left on your child’s cloakroom peg.  (a plastic carrier bag is not suitable).

Juniors will need a tracksuit and training shoes for outdoor activities in the winter months. Girls need to remove tights for games and a pair of socks should therefore be provided to wear with plimsolls. A change of training shoes or plimsolls is needed if trainers are worn all day.

Art & Craft
An old shirt or apron to protect the uniform will be needed.

Equipment
Homework should be kept in a book bag which can be purchased from school for £4.00.

We would be grateful if a marked pencil case, rubber, pencil sharpener, coloured pencils, lead pencil, felt pens, glue stick and ruler could be provided by all children. Older children will also need a handwriting pen, protractor and geometrical compass. Handwriting pens and replacement cartridges may be purchased from school.
