The school is affiliated to the Church of England and consequently the assemblies have a Christian basis and involve the celebration of denominational events such as Easter and Christmas. There is a daily act of collective worship which is sometimes organised for class groups rather than for the whole school. Services are held in the local church each week and at the end of each term, during Lent and on other special occasions. These are generally taken by the children and parents are invited to join us.

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship. We hope that parents will discuss any concerns with the Headteacher before exercising this right.

Pastoral Care
The pastoral care of all the children within the school is the overall concern of all the staff. We fully appreciate that children cannot realise their full potential if they are unhappy at school or at home. Every member of staff (teaching and non-teaching) is primarily concerned for your child’s welfare.
